Dr. Lee received her undergraduate and medical degree from Brown University. She then went on to complete her pediatric residency, gastroenterology fellowship and transplant hepatology fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital/ Harvard Medical School. At Boston Children’s Hospital, she has held numerous positions in medical education as the former clerkship director of the Harvard Medical School GI rotation and currently as the program director for both the pediatric gastroenterology fellowship and the pediatric transplant hepatology fellowship. Her interest in training has also led her to involvement as a former member of the AASLD Pediatric Special Interest Group education committee and in NASPGHAN as past co-director of The Teaching and Tomorrow Program and past Chair of the Training Committee. She was recently served as a NASPGHAN executive councilor and is currently a NASPGHAN Foundation Board Member.
Dr. Lee spends much of her clinical time as a member of the liver, intestine, multivisceral transplant team, acting as both a transplant hepatologist and the medical director of the intestine/multivisceral transplant program. Dr. Lee’s other clinical areas of expertise involved being the former director of the Fatty Liver Interdisciplinary Program and the current director of the Fontan Liver Disease program. Her research interests involve non-invasive assessment for liver fibrosis, using transient elastography to further define liver fibrosis, steatosis and portal hypertension in children.
